autoExpert has been working together with YUKOIL (LLC «JV YUKOIL») for many years. And the informational occasions have always been the most interesting. Today's occasion is no exception. The company's main brand - YUKO occupies a significant share in the portfolio of the Slovak-Austrian group of companies GREEN TECH / AUTOFUN, on the site of which we held our first foreign forum - Car Service FORUM Bratislava on 22/11/2025. Promoting a Ukrainian brand in Europe, which is the legislator in the world of motor oils, is definitely not an easy task. We talked about this with Igor Marusenko, head of the marketing department of «JV YUKOIL».

Igor, to my question to Ukrainians who have already managed to create powerful car service enterprises in Europe, under what conditions would you have YUKO brand oils at your service station, they say that they would be happy to “support the Ukrainian” manufacturer, and they have no doubts about the quality, but… A barrel of Shell costs 950 euros, a barrel of YUKO – 600 euros. It seems that there is the opportunity to make money. However: more approvals are needed, YUKO must be sold «at every gas station like Shell» if the user needs to add oil to the engine, and in general, on a check of 100+ euros for replacing oil and filters in a car, saving 15 euros does not excite the car owner…

Yes, when we leave the choice to the car owner – his choice is obvious. But that doesn't mean we don't have room for action. And our successful promotion not only in Ukraine, but also around the world confirms this.



First of all, we prove to our partners that our oil is no worse than what they are used to pouring into customers, that you can earn more with YUKO oil. There are already quite a few approvals (for both CVL and PVL) and licenses, and we are constantly working on increasing their number. We have received ISO certification for ecology, because VAG does not want to give approval if the manufacturer is not certified for ecology. In the near future, we should receive the most popular approval 504/507, and then we will be receiving the more progressive ones. There are no problems with Mercedes at all - we have already received approval for C3 oil. We have a lot of positive feedback on the operation of our products from owners of agricultural machinery and long-haul tractors, etc.

Our oil really works qualitatively and we are on the way to doing wide advertising aimed at owners of passenger cars. But first in Ukraine.

Our strategy now is to enter international markets through large distributors. Because they sell the client not only oil, but the entire set of products for the operation of the service station or the same fleet of vehicles.

Are they ready to promote you? Do they have a motive for it?

They are.

Examples of establishing partnerships recently in Ukraine: «Autoleader», «AUTONOVA-D», in the process of negotiations with other well-known companies in the Automotive Aftermarket market.

Today we have already reached the stage of market development when large Ukrainian distributors perceive cooperation with a Ukrainian manufacturer of oils and technical fluids positively. We reinforce this trend by working with teams of sales representatives, and we allocate funds to marketing.

Our only problem is that there is a war now and we cannot shout about ourselves too loudly. It is about our safety!

What do distributors' sellers need to know about you so that these arguments help sell the brand?

Being the first in your country is already a lot! And this is the very first argument.

We cooperate with the largest Ukrainian and even world holdings - primarily agricultural and industrial.

We have and are actively working on expanding licenses and approvals of world institutions that accredit this industry. We have API licenses, certificates of conformity for Mercedes-Benz, VOLVO, MAN, Renault, General Electric, Cummins and VAG (is in the process of aquiring).







We are actively present in world markets - 80+ countries. And this can be verified, for example, through online communities, where there is confirmation of our presence in different countries: our distributor partners, promoting our brand, maintain pages on Facebook, Instagram.

The pearl in our crown is the large-scale project «Antarctica». Which other companies supply oils for the Arctic station?





Drift. For the cars of Dmytro Ilyuk, a world-famous drift racer, we specially developed 10W-60 oil. And his car has been running quite successfully on YUKO RACING SYNT 10W-60 oil for more than one season!













24h Nurburgring 2024. Dmytro Illyuk performed at this event as a guest and performed several demonstration, technical and bright drift races. For more than two hours, the audience could enjoy the pilot's tricks. Under such extreme loads, as always, the engine of Dmitry's drift car was reinforced with oil YUKO Racing Synt 10W-60.

We invest a lot in the laboratory. Even during the full-scale phase of the war, we significantly developed it - we purchased several devices. The laboratory has been accredited - this is, in addition to the plan, also a forced step, because several of our foreign customers have to control certain parameters in the laboratory when oils are entering their country. And we must be sure that our products will meet the control parameters.







Of course, we have a technical support department, whose specialists will competently select the necessary oil or other technical fluid for any needs and will give answers to all technical questions.

In fact, we are just doing our job, we know how to produce high-quality oils. And they are exactly the same and even better than those produced at leading enterprises in Europe or further afield. This is proven. We have confirmation of the origin of both base oils and additives - these are all the same world leaders that supply well-known global brands.



And, rest assured, the production culture and quality control are no different from the production culture at global factories, we use the same methods of product production and standards.











We have found a unique combination of our hard work, perseverance, principledness and even ingenuity. And these are not just loud words - we really do a lot for this.

And also - YUKOIL can always be found at all Automechanika Frankfurt exhibitions and at most leading exhibitions around the world.
